Requirements
- Bring strong backend software engineering experience, including building and maintaining production APIs or services.
- Have professional experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Understand authentication, authorization, retries, idempotency, rate limiting, and failure recovery.
- Have built software, libraries, APIs, or tools that other developers rely on in production.
- Value developer experience, including intuitive interfaces, clear error messages, useful documentation, and backward compatibility.
- Consider discovery, usability, and security requirements when treating AI agents as product users.
- Turn ambiguous problems into focused, practical solutions.
- Bring clear communication skills, openness to feedback, ownership, and accountability.
- Experience with open-source projects or external developer communities is a plus.
- Experience building SDKs, CLI tools, MCP servers, or platform integrations is highly valued.
- Familiarity with React or frontend build tooling is advantageous.
- Experience operating systems involving queues, monitoring, and error recovery is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and operate developer tools that simplify integrations across programming languages, frameworks, and development environments.
- Develop backend services for developer tools, integrations, and related workflows.
- Establish API contracts and consistent behavior across SDKs, CLI tools, MCP, and documentation with product and engineering teams.
- Build interfaces for developers and AI agents, including MCP, skills, and command-line tooling.
- Manage compatibility, testing, releases, upgrades, and backward compatibility.
- Create shared tooling that helps engineering teams deliver changes across the developer tools ecosystem.
- Work with developers through support interactions, GitHub issues, pull requests, and other feedback channels.
- Own projects from discovery and solution design through implementation, release, and post-launch improvements.
- Support reliability through authentication, authorization, retries, idempotency, rate limits, monitoring, and handling partial failures.
