Requirements
- Bring significant experience building and operating production-grade systems.
- Have experience designing and developing internal platforms, with sound judgment about what to abstract, expose, standardize, or leave flexible.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure as code, developer tooling, and modern software delivery practices.
- Understand software security and secure delivery, including shift-left security and SecDevOps principles.
- Treat internal platforms as products for engineers and AI agents, and assess whether tooling improves productivity.
- Have practical fluency with AI coding agents, including how they operate and where they encounter friction.
- Be able to set strategy while personally contributing to code, infrastructure, pipelines, and tooling.
- Apply systems thinking to identify opportunities for organization-wide standardization, automation, reliability, and developer productivity.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively to influence product teams and drive adoption of shared engineering practices.
- Experience with end-to-end testing frameworks such as Playwright and knowledge of scaling automated testing environments are a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Shape the platform and infrastructure foundations that product teams use to build and operate services.
- Improve the engineering development loop, including local development, CI/CD, deployments, production feedback, and developer workflows.
- Define engineering standards for automated testing, infrastructure as code, observability, reliability, and secure software delivery, and support their adoption.
- Build shared tooling, templates, reusable components, and golden paths for the engineering organization.
- Integrate security scanning, secrets management, dependency controls, software supply-chain protections, and penetration-testing workflows into development and delivery pipelines.
- Monitor security changes related to how AI coding agents introduce, discover, and potentially exploit vulnerabilities.
- Improve repositories, development conventions, tooling, documentation, test coverage, and feedback loops for AI coding agents.
- Measure platform initiatives using DORA metrics and qualitative feedback from engineering teams.
- Set technical direction while contributing to code, infrastructure, automation, and pipeline implementation.
