Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Have at least 10 years of experience as a financial examiner serving as EIC on exams of significant size and complexity.
- Have insurance industry experience.
- Hold a Certified Financial Examiner (CFE) certification.
- Have PC skills, including software for presentations, spreadsheets, and project planning.
- Be skilled in TeamMate, ACL/Access, and Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Bring strong interpersonal, presentation, analytical, and examination/audit skills.
- Have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and assignments.
- Be able to work independently and demonstrate team-building and team-development skills.
- Be willing to travel while working from home.
Responsibilities
- Perform risk-focused financial examinations and regulatory consulting for state insurance departments.
- Review examination work papers and evaluate insurance company operations.
- Serve as Examiner-In-Charge on examinations of significant size and complexity.
- Prepare reports, exhibits, and supporting schedules describing insurers’ solvency, condition, and compliance.
- Recommend and document actions to ensure compliance with laws and regulations or protect company solvency.
- Analyze insurance company financial statements, reports, and records.
- Review proposed or revised laws, regulations, policies, and procedures and determine their impact.
- Submit draft reports for review on time.
