7 years in a market management, product management or segment strategy role, with at least 3 years in Qualified Health Plan / Individual and Family Plans, Medicaid, or Medicare. 2 years owning and managing P&L in healthcare (IFP preferred). 2 years market leadership within assigned market(s), strongly preferred in IFP business.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or a related field, or have equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Have at least 7 years of experience in market management, product management, or segment strategy.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in Qualified Health Plan / Individual and Family Plans, Medicaid, or Medicare.
  • Have 2 years of experience owning and managing healthcare P&L; IFP experience is preferred.
  • Have 2 years of market leadership experience within assigned markets; IFP experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrate a track record of delivering bottom-line results through strategic plans.
  • Have experience executing membership and financial forecasting.
  • Understand contracting, product, provider relations, and medical management sufficiently to leverage support for customer solutions.
  • Be able to analyze competitors’ products, distribution systems, administrative and service capabilities, and marketing strategies.
  • Demonstrate experience creating and executing strategies for membership growth and targeted financial results.
  • Demonstrate leadership, influencing, and negotiation skills in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Have strong analytical skills, including the ability to assess data and formulate a business case.

Responsibilities

  • Develop short- and long-term strategic plans for assigned markets to identify opportunities and support growth.
  • Own and proactively manage P&L for assigned markets, monitoring performance and driving corrective actions to meet targets.
  • Lead multi-year strategy and annual performance improvement plans for assigned markets.
  • Represent the IFP business in the market and build relationships with regulators, navigators, enrollment assistors, and nonprofit organizations.
  • Lead expansion into new rating areas within assigned markets, as applicable.
  • Develop annual and long-term membership and financial projections with Finance.
  • Assess local market dynamics, competition, and legislative developments.
  • Partner with marketing, advertising, and distribution partners to promote the brand in local markets.
  • Build partnerships and collaborate with internal stakeholders across network, contracting, medical management, distribution, risk management, pricing, product, and strategy.
