Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Have 3+ years of experience administering IBM Db2 databases.
- Have experience with Db2 on Linux, UNIX, or Windows (LUW), or z/OS.
- Have strong SQL skills.
- Have strong shell scripting skills.
- Have experience with backup and recovery.
- Have experience with performance tuning.
- IBM Certified Database Administrator – Db2 certification is preferred.
- Experience with high availability tools such as HADR is preferred.
- Experience supporting federal government contracts is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, patch, and upgrade IBM Db2 databases.
- Monitor database health, capacity, and performance.
- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Control user access and apply database security settings.
- Tune SQL and database settings to improve performance.
- Support developers with schema changes and deployments.
- Maintain database documentation and runbooks.
