Requirements
- Have 2-4 years of relevant work experience in investment banking, corporate development, or a similar role.
- Have experience working on live M&A transactions.
- Demonstrate familiarity with financial modeling and valuation methodologies, including business case development, multiples-based approaches, and DCFs.
- Bring financial acumen and the ability to analyze complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
- Have strong attention to detail and organizational and analytical skills.
- Be able to handle multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Be curious about software, AI, and the future of AI, with awareness of market trends and dynamics.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to synthesize complex concepts for relevant audiences.
Responsibilities
- Assist in executing mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives across the HubSpot platform.
- Work with cross-functional teams to conduct diligence, review transaction documents, and complete financial modeling.
- Conduct market research and competitive analyses to identify potential targets and growth opportunities.
- Build relationships with emerging startups, investors, and other market participants.
- Track industry trends and activity.
- Support sourcing, evaluation, and execution of strategic transactions, including investment theses, pipeline management, diligence, and post-close integration.
