Requirements
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in a Life Science field; an advanced degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in the life science, Biologics industry or a CDMO is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in technical business-to-business sales in the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrated understanding of biomanufacturing processes and projects relevant to business development.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with external clients and internal decision makers.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams in technical discussions, scope evaluation, and contract negotiation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic accounts and close complex service agreements.
- Ability to identify client needs and develop value-based proposals using organizational technical capabilities.
- Ability to work remotely, meet business objectives, and maintain timely communications.
- Willingness to travel up to 40–50% within the USA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets in the Plasmid DNA and Viral Vector market segments.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract negotiation and closure.
- Maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities using CRM tools.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with biotech and biopharma clients developing gene therapies, mRNA-based therapeutics, and other advanced modalities.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
- Collaborate with Process Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance to align proposals with operational capabilities.
- Monitor market trends, competition, and customer feedback to inform commercial strategy.
- Provide sales forecasts, business updates, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Serve as the primary contact for key accounts and support client onboarding and technical transfer alignment.
