Requirements
- Have 5+ years of commercial experience with Java and Spring.
- Have experience working alongside a modern frontend framework such as Vue.js.
- Have a strong understanding of RESTful APIs.
- Have solid experience with automated unit and integration testing.
- Have hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions or Drone.
- Be comfortable working in Agile environments with short delivery cycles.
- Be confident using Git and modern codebase management practices.
- Have a strong focus on code quality, security, and performance.
- Have experience reviewing code and providing constructive feedback.
- Have strong problem-solving skills and an ownership mentality.
- Have strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot, with exposure to Vue.js on the frontend.
- Write and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Participate in code reviews to support quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Contribute to service and feature design discussions.
- Debug and resolve complex issues in distributed systems.
- Follow secure coding, CI/CD, source control, and release-process best practices.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers.
- Provide predominantly third-line support when required.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership to improve ways of working.
