Requirements
- Have 5–8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in C# and Java.
- Have experience building and maintaining backend services, APIs, and scalable application components.
- Understand REST APIs, system design, and scalable application patterns.
- Have experience with SQL databases and data modelling.
- Be familiar with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS.
- Be able to debug production systems and resolve issues independently.
- Be comfortable working with Git, code reviews, and team-based development.
- Be able to work in an existing codebase and improve quality without over-engineering.
- Be willing to work on a contractor / self employed basis.
Responsibilities
- Own features across Inventory Lab’s C# and Java-based systems from initial design through production.
- Design and build clean, scalable services, APIs, and application components.
- Ensure components are maintainable, well-tested, and performant.
- Make technical decisions within a defined scope, balancing delivery speed with long-term quality.
- Debug production issues, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes.
- Contribute to technical discussions and evolve architecture within the domain.
- Review code and collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps on features and improvements.
