Senior Java Engineer

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot, with exposure to Vue.js on the frontend.
Write and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Participate in code reviews to support quality, performance, and maintainability.
Contribute to service and feature design discussions.
Debug and resolve complex issues in distributed systems.
Follow secure coding, CI/CD, source control, and release-process best practices.
Coach and mentor junior engineers.
Provide predominantly third-line support when required.

Engineering at Vigil

At Vigil, you will craft robust custom software, build scalable SaaS platforms, and develop cutting-edge AI & Automation Systems. Our projects range from full-stack web applications and cross-platform mobile apps to modernizing legacy systems. You'll work with technologies like modern .NET (C#, .NET 6/7/8), Java & Spring Boot, Ruby, and Vue.js. We focus on building highly available, resilient, and scalable systems, integrating with cloud services like AWS and Azure, and maintaining strong automated test suites. Engineers contribute to architectural decisions and continuously improve our engineering standards.
