Requirements
- At least 8 years of engineering experience.
- Demonstrated people management experience with 5 or more engineers, including performance management and hiring.
- Hands-on TypeScript experience and the ability to contribute directly to a TypeScript codebase.
- Experience with technologies such as React, Node.js, Express, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker, and Terraform.
- Experience in fintech, lending, mortgages, or a similarly relevant domain.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled engineering workflows.
- Startup or small-company experience and a progressive engineering career.
- Founder or co-founder experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support a team of engineers through 1:1s, continuous feedback, performance reviews, hiring, and career development.
- Own the pod's planning, retrospectives, delivery health, and early identification of project risks.
- Contribute regularly to production work, spending approximately 10 to 20 percent of time coding.
- Partner with Product Managers and Technical Leads on prioritization, architecture decisions, and cross-functional alignment.
- Help onboard engineers and maintain clear documentation and ownership boundaries.
