Experience: 8+ years building and operating cloud infrastructure in production

Have a background in SRE or platform engineering leadership.
Have 8+ years building and operating production cloud infrastructure, including ownership of an environment end to end.
Bring direct experience delivering into US federal or other highly regulated government environments, such as FedRAMP or an equivalent program.
Understand how accreditation requirements shape engineering decisions.
Have production experience building and operating environments in AWS and/or Azure.
Have strong Infrastructure as Code skills with Terraform, OpenTofu, or similar.
Bring hands-on Kubernetes experience, including cluster management and operational maintenance.
Have strong software engineering fundamentals and sound technical judgment.
Have experience designing tooling and patterns for air-gapped and compliance-heavy infrastructure.
Have established operational practices covering runbooks, on-call, documentation, and planning.
Have experience leading engineers across distant time zones and communicating effectively in writing.
Have experience directly managing engineers, including performance, growth, and hiring.
Have a BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Own the architecture and operation of regulated and sovereign environments across AWS and Azure, including their IaC, Kubernetes, and release tooling.
Standardize environment builds into a repeatable blueprint that supports growth without proportional headcount increases.
Review designs, RFCs, and prototypes, and maintain the quality of the team’s technical decisions and delivery.
Contribute hands-on engineering, typically on operational tooling or greenfield projects.
Work with Security and Compliance to embed secure-by-default patterns and produce control evidence as part of normal operations.
Maintain accreditations through vulnerability remediation, access reviews, and compliance with data-handling obligations.
Support critical infrastructure with high SLAs, progressive deployment strategies, and multi-region or high-availability environments.
Represent the team in audits, assessments, and customer-facing technical discussions about security posture and data residency.
Own planning, operational practices, incident response, escalation coverage, and environment costs.
Lead, coach, hire, and develop engineers, while coordinating dependencies and priorities across partner teams.
