Requirements
- Bring solid professional experience in Public Policy, Government Relations, Public Affairs, Community Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility, or a related field.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Law, Political Science, Public Policy, Public Affairs, Economic Development, or a related discipline.
- Be fluent in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken.
- Have experience in Government Relations and Public Policy within the Brazilian gaming/iGaming sector or another highly regulated industry.
- Have a track record of developing and managing relationships with government representatives, regulators, industry associations, and external stakeholders.
- Be able to analyze regulatory and policy developments and translate risks and opportunities into practical stakeholder and policy strategies.
- Have strong communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Be able to operate independently in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities and regulatory requirements.
- Be available to travel within Brazil as required.
- Spanish proficiency is an advantage.
- A master's degree or higher in a relevant discipline is a plus.
- Experience building coalitions in Brazil and Latin America and engaging stakeholders across municipal, state, and federal levels is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with government representatives, regulators, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and implement public policy and government relations strategies aligned with business priorities in Brazil.
- Monitor legislative, regulatory, and public policy developments and assess risks, opportunities, and operational implications.
- Develop policy positions, stakeholder engagement plans, and mitigation strategies in response to regulatory developments.
- Coordinate government outreach, external advocacy initiatives, and public policy programs.
- Provide government relations and public affairs support to internal teams on business operations and institutional matters.
- Collaborate with Business Development, Legal, Compliance, Payments, Finance, and external communications or PR partners.
- Represent the organization in engagements with government authorities, regulators, industry organizations, and other institutional stakeholders.
- Support coalition-building with industry associations, think tanks, advocacy organizations, and other relevant groups.
- Travel to headquarters and other locations across Brazil as required.
