Requirements
- Have at least 4 years of experience in industrial garment manufacturing, a buying office, or a trading company.
- Understand technical specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), garment construction, and product costing concepts.
- Have knowledge of or interest in development costing processes, sourcing strategies, and allocation methodologies.
- Bring strong negotiation, analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills, and use data to support business decisions.
- Have experience with change adoption, business process redesign, reengineering, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate the ability to influence stakeholders, build consensus, and resolve complex issues collaboratively.
- Demonstrate leadership capabilities in a global or matrixed environment.
- Have a digital and analytical mindset and interest in automation, new technologies, and process innovation.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Be able to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, including diplomacy, active listening, openness, clarity, and concise communication.
- Be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of fabric weaving, fabric construction, and dyeing processes is a plus.
- Familiarity with printing, embroidery, quilting, sweater knits, or accessories is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Lead seasonal development costing milestones, activities, and deliverables across teams and manufacturing partners.
- Coordinate information sharing among sourcing, brand, material, planning, vendor, and other cross-functional teams.
- Negotiate with vendors using fact-based costing methodologies, product engineering insights, and profitability analysis.
- Provide FOB and landed-cost perspectives to support vendor allocation and sourcing decisions.
- Promote adherence to costing processes and governance standards.
- Track, analyze, and report key costing metrics.
- Eliminate redundant activities, automate repetitive tasks, and optimize costing processes.
- Lead and contribute to cross-functional projects, business analyses, and transformation initiatives.
- Support modernization and standardization of costing methodologies.
