- At least 1 year of experience working with adult students in an online higher education environment.
- Understanding of the challenges, motivations, and needs of adult learners pursuing degree completion.
- Demonstrated ability to work toward individual and organizational performance goals.
- Experience using CRM, LMS, SIS, or similar technologies supporting online education and student management.
- Knowledge of academic policies and procedures, including familiarity with FERPA and student privacy requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to establish trust and rapport with adult learners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, prioritization, and time-management skills.
- Strong judgment, discretion, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, particularly when handling confidential information.
- Ability to manage multiple student cases and competing priorities in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Responsibilities
- Guide prospective and returning adult learners through university application and admissions processes, including requirements, deadlines, action items, and expectations.
- Conduct discovery conversations about learners’ educational and career goals, academic experience, and circumstances.
- Create individualized pathways toward successful enrollment.
- Maintain accurate student records throughout the admissions funnel and track progress and outstanding requirements.
- Help students assess readiness for online coursework and connect them with appropriate academic, technical, or support resources.
- Monitor student progress and use data to identify opportunities to improve engagement, enrollment, and conversion outcomes.
- Protect student information, follow data-security practices, and report security-related concerns.
- Ensure institutional data used for business activities is accurate, appropriate, complete, and timely.
- Collaborate with university partners and external stakeholders to promote consistent practices and high-quality admissions experiences.
- Participate in professional development, conferences, and industry activities related to adult learning and online higher education.
