Requirements
- Have 5–7+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, fundraising, development, or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to deliver measurable KPIs.
- Bring proven success developing strategic partnerships, negotiating agreements, and aligning partner motivations with organizational objectives.
- Use strong commercial and business acumen and an analytical, revenue-oriented approach to partnership development.
- Build rapport and credibility with stakeholders ranging from small business owners to senior executives at national organizations.
- Take a persistent and proactive approach to business development while maintaining trust-based relationships.
- Apply creative problem-solving in ambiguous environments where approaches may need to be tested and refined.
- Translate data and market insights into actionable partnership strategies.
- Bring communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while independently owning strategic initiatives and growth targets.
- Be willing and available to travel occasionally for partner meetings, networking opportunities, and industry events.
- Work effectively in a fully remote environment.
- Experience working with military audiences, such as veterans, former service members, military associations, veteran service organizations, or military spouse and family networks, is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and establish partnerships with military organizations, veteran service groups, associations, unions, nonprofits, businesses, and organizations serving public service professionals.
- Build relationships with decision-makers across organizations, from small businesses to national associations.
- Develop prospecting strategies using networking, referrals, events, introductions, and other channels.
- Launch partnerships by aligning partner objectives with business goals and creating programs for scalable member acquisition.
- Develop and execute partnership strategies informed by business objectives, audience engagement metrics, and data.
- Own quarterly member acquisition KPIs, primarily for military organizations and also for law enforcement, fire and rescue, and healthcare audiences.
- Expand member acquisition and engagement with existing partners and negotiate sustainable partnership arrangements.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and other teams to support organizational priorities.
- Monitor partnership performance and refine outreach, engagement, and growth strategies.
- Represent the organization at meetings, networking opportunities, conferences, and industry events; travel as needed to develop and strengthen partnerships.
