Requirements
- Approximately 8+ years of professional experience across brand systems, graphic design, and web design.
- Experience establishing or evolving a brand or web practice, including creating processes and systems from scratch.
- Hands-on proficiency with a modern CMS or visual web platform such as Webflow.
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and ability to take a website through implementation, launch, and ongoing maintenance.
- Experience creating and maintaining design systems, component libraries, brand kits, templates, or asset libraries adopted by non-designers.
- Ability to maintain visual coherence across distinct audiences, business areas, and design challenges.
- Ability to communicate complex technical, scientific, AI, or specialized subject matter through clear visual design.
- Strong visual design craft, strategic thinking, autonomy, ownership, and initiative.
- Active use of AI tools and modern creative workflows.
- Ability to communicate creative rationale, influence stakeholders, and collaborate across product, marketing, creative, and go-to-market functions.
- Motion, animation, interactive web, or UI experience is highly desirable.
- Experience in science, deep technology, healthcare, or other technically demanding industries is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the organization’s brand vision, visual identity, design system, brand guidelines, and sub-brand architecture.
- Shape a cohesive parent brand across technically distinct domains while adapting visual expression to each area.
- Design, build, launch, and maintain the corporate website and related properties through a visual CMS such as Webflow.
- Create conference and event graphics, brochures, one-pagers, infographics, executive communications, go-to-market materials, and other brand assets.
- Develop presentation templates, brand kits, asset libraries, reusable components, and repeatable processes for non-designers.
- Develop and incorporate AI-assisted workflows and tools to improve creative efficiency.
- Partner with product designers, creative teams, marketing, and go-to-market stakeholders to define problems and shape solutions.
- Brief and manage external creative partners while maintaining quality and brand consistency.
- Translate complex scientific, technical, and AI concepts into accessible, visually compelling design experiences.
