Requirements
- Have a track record of excellence in past employment or other activities.
- Have 5+ years of sales experience within the agricultural industry.
- Have experience developing and executing dealer strategy, including establishing, training, and managing dealer partners in equipment and subscription sales.
- Demonstrate independent thinking, good judgment, and a record of problem-solving.
- Have farming knowledge and/or agronomic experience.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, in individual and group settings.
- Be able to understand customer needs and help dealers understand them from business and technical perspectives.
- Be comfortable demonstrating software products virtually and in person.
- Be able to travel about 30–50% or more on average, with seasonal spikes.
- Reside in Nebraska, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Wyoming, or Nevada.
- Experience selling AgTech within the territory is an advantage.
- Experience managing sales team members is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce.com or other CRM tools is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Recruit and maintain a strong dealer network in the region.
- Drive territory growth by meeting and exceeding sales goals.
- Maintain a sales funnel that is actively and weekly updated and accurately reflects sales revenue opportunities throughout the year.
- Assist with and oversee onboarding for newly recruited dealers, and train and equip new and existing dealers.
- Work with dealers to communicate the value of CropX solutions and set end-user customer expectations.
- Work with dealers and end-user customers throughout the year to ensure value is delivered during the season.
- Serve as a close connection to the CropX technology development team.
- Identify new market opportunities and ways technology can provide enhanced solutions.
- Work with Customer Success, Operations, Product, and R&D teams to support a high-quality customer experience.
- Manage schedule and travel while working independently.
