Requirements
- Have 3+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining production software services; cloud-native experience is preferred.
- Be proficient in modern AI development practices, including architecting and leveraging AI agents, Large Language Models (LLMs), and LDD principles.
- Be proficient in at least one programming language; Go and Python are used.
- Be proficient with test-driven development.
- Be proficient with Git, including cherry picking, squashing, and rebasing.
- Be proficient with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines; GitHub Actions is used.
- Have experience designing, writing, and working with APIs.
- Have experience integrating with third-party services such as payment processors, learning management systems, and credentialing platforms.
- Have working familiarity with cloud platforms; AWS is used.
- Have working familiarity with monitoring and observability tools to support and troubleshoot services you build.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain well-tested backend services and APIs for certification, commerce, and learner-communication workflows.
- Connect certification workflows to commerce, communications, and third-party platforms, including payment processors, learning management systems, and credentialing vendors.
- Work with stakeholders to identify, understand, and document project requirements.
- Collaborate with teammates, give and receive constructive feedback, and stay aligned with team goals.
- Follow existing team standards and help improve them as you learn what works.
- Use test-driven development to turn stakeholder needs into maintainable solutions.
- Apply new learnings and share them with the team.
- Help drive adoption of emerging AI paradigms, including agentic development and LDD.
