Requirements

  • Typically have at least 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 5 years of experience with an MBA.
  • Hold a cybersecurity CISSP certification.
  • Microsoft Azure or AWS Associate certification is desired.
  • Retain specialist knowledge across SonicWall products; SNSA and SNSP SonicWall certifications are listed, with training provided.
  • Have familiarity with governance and compliance issues and management/reporting requirements, including HIPAA, PCI, SOX, FERPA, CIPA, and GDPR.
  • Have experience with L2-L7 networking technologies and protocols, NAT, stateful firewalls, IDS/IPS, web and content filtering, proxies, and email security gateways.
  • Have experience with VPN and encryption (IPsec/SSL), PKI, key management, 802.11/WLAN, Syslog, NetFlow/IPFIX, Active Directory, and LDAP.
  • Be able to read, interpret, and create scripts, regular expressions, and/or custom signatures.
  • Have experience with virtualization platforms including VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, and Azure.
  • Demonstrate business and technical acumen and experience with technical sales, solution selling, presentations, whiteboarding, and objection handling.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discovery conversations to qualify customer requirements and use cases and develop bills of materials.
  • Deliver technical sales presentations and product and solution demonstrations across the SonicWall portfolio.
  • Explain SonicWall’s value proposition and competitive offerings.
  • Build trusted relationships with channel partners and hold recurring meetings with their technical decision makers.
  • Maintain a personal lab, support remote partner product trials, and lead proofs of concept.
  • Participate in beta testing and provide feedback alongside product management.
  • Support technical marketing initiatives by developing collateral and presenting at virtual or external events.
  • Develop product expertise, share best practices, and support onboarding for new solutions engineers.
  • Keep regional sales informed of roadmap insights, product updates, and technical best practices.
  • Work with VARs, MSPs, and MSSPs on managed-service sales, deployment, and support.
