Requirements

  • Bring deep experience in self-funding, group captives, stop-loss strategy, and employer funding models, with a mid-market focus.
  • Have a background working within national brokerage platforms or high-growth consulting environments.
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly to executives and support defensible employer decisions.
  • Partner effectively with frontline producers and guide complex deals through a disciplined sales process.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional teams from underwriting through operations to deliver accurate, timely proposals.
  • Demonstrate commercial acumen and relationship-building skills in direct sales and channel environments.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on complex captive and alternative funding cases.
  • Equip producers with talk tracks, discovery paths, and explanations of risk, funding mechanics, governance, and tradeoffs.
  • Support regional sales leaders in positioning captive solutions.
  • Build and maintain referral networks across brokers and consultants.
  • Deliver training, tools, and resources to expand captive pipeline opportunities.
  • Coordinate with underwriting, operations, account management, and solution partners on deal execution.
  • Translate discovery findings into proposals and prepare opportunities for financial and operational evaluation.
  • Maintain timelines and manage handoffs into onboarding.
  • Track sales progress, establish next steps, and help teams prioritize support based on probability to close.
  • Develop field-ready materials and contribute to internal training, content, and tools.
