Requirements

  • At least 6+ years of relevant experience with Big 4 (or equivalent) and/or a large corporate tax department of a multinational company.
  • Solid experience preparing and reviewing U.S. income tax provisions and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field required.
  • CPA license preferred.
  • Experience in corporate income tax and strong ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes skills.
  • Exposure to indirect tax compliance and business registrations.
  • Exposure to international transfer pricing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and contribute effectively as a team member.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and intellectual curiosity.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and review federal, state, and local income tax returns, extensions, estimated tax payments, and related workpapers prepared by external tax providers.
  • Partner with the international accounting team and local tax providers to manage the global tax calendar and ensure returns and payments are filed accurately and on time.
  • Prepare tax schedules supporting the worldwide income tax provision under U.S. GAAP and review the provision prepared by external tax advisors.
  • Oversee US sales and use tax compliance.
  • Respond to tax notices and support agency examinations.
  • Prepare and manage personal property tax, business tax license renewals, state and municipal gross receipts tax, GST/HST filings, and other indirect tax filings as required.
  • Evaluate tax implications of intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, and international operations.
  • Assist with tax-related M&A integration activities, including direct and indirect tax matters.
  • Initiate tax planning strategies related to business growth, legal entity structure, state nexus, and transfer pricing.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Legal, and Operations on tax analysis, reporting, and compliance requirements.
