Requirements

  • Proven experience leading SRE, DevOps, or Cloud/Software engineering teams, typically with 5+ engineers.
  • Experience in a SaaS or complex multi-product environment.
  • Strong foundation in cloud architecture, including AWS, Azure, GCP, or equivalent.
  • Experience with hybrid or cloud migration patterns.
  • Ability to read and review application and infrastructure code and write automation.
  • Hands-on experience debugging distributed systems and making architecture decisions.
  • Background in observability tooling and incident management, including monitoring, tracing, and alerting.
  • Ability to communicate and facilitate across Product, Platform, Security, Support, and LiveOps stakeholders.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and embedding SRE principles across teams.
  • Nice to have: experience with large-scale multi-tenant SaaS or hybrid cloud migrations.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with ITIL or incident command frameworks and observability tools such as Grafana, Datadog, ELK, or Prometheus.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and iterate on SRE practices to improve availability, performance, and incident response.
  • Partner with Platform and LiveOps to build and run scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.
  • Instrument services with metrics, tracing, and logging to create shared visibility across teams.
  • Support on-call readiness, run blameless post-mortems, and feed lessons into engineering and product planning.
  • Improve IaC and CI/CD practices using Terraform, GitHub Actions, Ansible, Packer, and Kubernetes.
  • Establish and evolve SLOs, on-call structures, toil reduction, and production readiness practices.
  • Review architecture proposals, prototype reliability solutions, and debug production issues with the team.
  • Identify systemic reliability risks and advocate for addressing technical debt.
  • Mentor engineers and foster psychological safety, curiosity, and accountability.
  • Work with Security and Compliance teams to integrate resilience and regulatory requirements into design and delivery.
