Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of experience leading, managing, or mentoring security engineering, DevOps, or technical cloud infrastructure teams.
  • Have 7+ years of experience in security engineering or security operations within cloud-native environments.
  • Bring hands-on cloud security experience in AWS, with working knowledge of Azure or GCP.
  • Have deep knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, or AKS) and container security principles.
  • Understand cloud IAM architecture and identity security at enterprise scale.
  • Have hands-on experience with IaC frameworks such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm, or Pulumi.
  • Have experience with automation scripting or tooling in Python, Go, Shell, HCL, or Rego.
  • Have practical knowledge of web application security fundamentals and threat modeling, such as OWASP Top 10 and software supply chain security.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, preferred.
  • Experience managing and scaling remote, globally distributed engineering teams is preferred.
  • Experience with large-scale SaaS or managed cloud services is preferred.
  • Experience with CNAPP, CSPM, CIEM, or CDR platforms and methodologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, retain, develop, and coach a globally distributed team of Security Engineers; establish performance goals, conduct 1:1s, and support career progression.
  • Lead threat modeling and technical security reviews across product architectures and multi-cloud infrastructure.
  • Drive automation, policy-as-code, and developer-friendly security tooling into CI/CD workflows.
  • Define and govern secure baselines for multi-cloud resources and managed Kubernetes infrastructure.
  • Oversee vulnerability management and remediation programs and establish preventative software supply chain controls.
  • Partner with detection and response functions to scale alert triage, investigations, and automated incident remediation.
  • Build relationships with Engineering and DevOps leadership to balance security requirements with product delivery velocity.
  • Champion the internal dogfooding program to assess and monitor the product and influence product roadmaps.
