Job Details

Have prior experience running a security engineering team.
Bring a strong engineering background and engage in technical conversations and decisions.
Be comfortable working with autonomous engineering teams on technical and product decisions.
Keep current with technical trends and the challenges faced by engineering teams.
Approach security through enablement, automation, and guardrails rather than gates and roadblocks.
Have familiarity with securing and operating public cloud providers, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Have familiarity with Kubernetes and securing combined open-source software (OSS) and SaaS products.
Communicate cybersecurity concepts to technical and non-technical audiences and explain security problems in terms of business impact.

Lead the application security team across application security, cloud security, and internal tooling development.
Lead first- and third-party vulnerability management, including coordinated disclosure and embargoed fixes.
Define and implement engineering strategy with security leadership, individual contributors, and business stakeholders.
Conduct regular 1:1s, coach and mentor team members, and provide continuous feedback.
Collaborate with engineering leaders and stakeholders to influence product strategy, roadmaps, and designs.
Participate in significant incident preparation, simulations, response, and affected-customer communications.
Contribute to and review design documents, ensure projects are ready for development, and advise on task breakdown.
