Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of progressive professional experience in multi-state government affairs, legislative affairs, or a closely related policy role.
  • Deep understanding of state legislative and regulatory processes and their business implications.
  • Track record of building and managing bipartisan relationships with government officials and policymakers.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to synthesize complex policy information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple initiatives, and drive projects to completion.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and execute strategies within a collaborative team.
  • Frequent travel to state capitals, key Southeast markets, and conferences is required; estimated at 40–50% of the time.
  • Experience in tech, tax policy, energy policy, or infrastructure development is preferred.
  • Knowledge of AI, cloud computing, or related technology sectors is preferred.
  • Experience with coalition building or advocacy campaign management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with political landscapes and decision-makers in multiple state markets, particularly Texas, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead CoreWeave’s legislative and political engagement for assigned states in the Southeast region.
  • Develop and execute state-specific engagement plans, including stakeholder identification, issue anticipation, engagement milestones, and escalation paths.
  • Monitor, analyze, and interpret state legislative and regulatory developments relevant to data centers, AI infrastructure, energy policy, and economic development.
  • Build and maintain relationships with state lawmakers, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct policy research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for participation in coalitions, working groups, and advocacy initiatives.
  • Coordinate with commercial, legal, communications, and operations stakeholders on messaging and state government objectives.
  • Represent CoreWeave at hearings, industry events, and stakeholder meetings.
