Requirements
- Have proven experience as a Field CTO, Principal CTO, Chief Architect, Distinguished Architect, or equivalent external-facing technology leader for an enterprise modernization, cloud, AI, or technology transformation practice.
- Bring executive-level technology leadership experience advising or leading complex enterprise technology organizations, with significant C-suite interaction and peer relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and transformation leaders at Fortune 500 or comparable enterprises.
- Demonstrate an industry voice through keynotes, published points of view, briefings, podcasts, analyst engagement, or other recognized external forums.
- Have deep expertise in Microsoft Azure architecture, including enterprise-scale adoption, governance, security, integration, and modernization.
- Have experience setting technology direction across Applications, Cloud Platforms, and Data & AI, including operating model and governance implications.
- Understand enterprise AI strategy, including generative AI, agentic systems, data foundations, governance, security, and responsible adoption.
- Advise executives on integrating Microsoft technologies with non-Microsoft cloud, data, AI, SaaS, and enterprise platforms.
- Translate technology decisions into business impact, investment choices, constraints, and risk, with strong business and financial acumen.
- Have experience influencing large pursuits through credibility and solution strategy, and shaping offerings, accelerators, platforms, or reusable intellectual property.
- Have established senior relationships with hyperscaler and platform partners and the ability to drive joint solutioning and co-sell.
- Lead through matrix influence across account, engineering, security, delivery, practice, and partner stakeholders; develop, coach, and mentor senior architects or technology leaders.
- Be willing to travel up to 25 percent as needed and maintain, or be willing to obtain and maintain, relevant professional certifications.
Responsibilities
- Set technology vision and multi-year transformation strategies that executives can fund, sequence, and govern.
- Advise client executives on business value, technology options, tradeoffs, enterprise risk, and expected outcomes.
- Represent the practice at client forums, executive briefings, industry conferences, partner events, and analyst sessions.
- Cultivate senior relationships with Microsoft field teams, ISVs, platform partners, and the broader technology ecosystem.
- Shape the portfolio across Applications, Cloud Platforms, and Data & AI, including reference architectures, playbooks, accelerators, and guardrails.
- Champion priority pursuits through executive credibility, solution strategy, and competitive positioning.
- Evaluate emerging technology, including generative AI and agentic systems, and translate it into client recommendations and adoption paths.
- Set technical direction and quality standards while coaching and developing senior architects and technology leaders.
