Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in finance or a related business discipline, or have 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Have at least 5 years of relevant financial analysis experience.
- Have experience supporting government contracting environments and familiarity with government contract cost structures.
- Demonstrate strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions.
- Have experience with Oracle EBS, Oracle Hyperion, or comparable financial systems.
- Demonstrate strong forecasting capabilities and understand how operational and business decisions affect the P&L.
- Interpret complex financial information, identify trends and variances, and communicate findings to financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Bring strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Be able and willing to incorporate AI tools into financial analysis and reporting workflows.
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and related government financial requirements is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial analysis across cost accounting, revenue recognition, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and Estimate at Completion (EAC) development.
- Prepare revenue, cost, investment, and profitability data for monthly outlooks, quarterly forecasts, and annual strategic planning.
- Conduct monthly variance analysis and opportunity and risk assessments, and prepare financial reporting for management.
- Support monthly close by preparing, analyzing, reconciling, and validating financial information.
- Review AP invoices, AR billing, purchase requisitions, contract terms, projected staffing hours, contract totals, revenues, and profit figures.
- Support proposal pricing, new business opportunities, ad hoc reporting, and other financial analyses for assigned programs.
- Create and maintain financial databases, spreadsheets, reports, and models using financial systems and reporting tools.
- Review contract requirements and support job setup and modifications within financial systems such as Oracle.
- Lead preparation of financial information for monthly business reviews and translate financial results into business insights.
- Use AI-enabled tools in financial workflows, including data review, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
