Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience in enterprise sales, account management, business development, or a comparable technology sales environment.
- Demonstrate success owning complex, consultative sales cycles and working toward or exceeding revenue targets.
- Have experience selling technology solutions to government organizations; Canadian Federal Government experience is preferred.
- Understand enterprise identity, cybersecurity, SaaS, or related technology solutions and communicate technical concepts in business terms.
- Be able to position solutions against major competitors and explain differentiated value to business and technical stakeholders.
- Have experience developing territory plans, account strategies, opportunity plans, forecasts, and pipeline-growth initiatives.
- Have partner-management and channel-selling experience.
- Demonstrate discovery, presentation, negotiation, communication, and executive-engagement skills.
- Be able to coordinate a multidisciplinary virtual sales team and internal and external stakeholders.
- Have commercial judgment, initiative, accountability, and organizational skills.
- Be proficient with Salesforce and sales forecasting/reporting tools, with a commitment to data accuracy and pipeline hygiene.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, business, sales, or a related discipline is preferred but not required.
- Be willing to travel approximately 50% annually for customer, partner, and business engagements.
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle across the assigned Canadian Federal Government territory, from prospecting and qualification through presentations, demonstrations, RFP responses, negotiations, and closing.
- Develop territory, account, and opportunity plans aligned with revenue objectives and customer priorities.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, prospects, partners, influencers, and senior business and technical decision-makers.
- Lead discovery conversations, qualify opportunities, and communicate tailored solutions and value propositions.
- Position solutions against competitors, including Microsoft, Okta, and Saviynt, and articulate the value of partner services.
- Coordinate virtual teams across sales engineering, partner management, professional services, deal desk, marketing, business value, and customer success.
- Work with channel partners on joint account strategies, marketing activities, pipeline, and customer engagement plans.
- Maintain forecasts, opportunity data, activity records, relationship maps, and pipeline information in Salesforce and other sales-management tools.
- Present territory plans, forecasts, pipeline strategies, and business recommendations to sales leadership.
