Requirements
- Have 9+ years of overall experience in Quality Engineering.
- Have proven experience managing and mentoring a large SDET team.
- Bring a strong hands-on background as a Test Automation Architect, ideally with TypeScript and Playwright.
- Understand test automation design patterns, CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments such as AWS or GCP, and development workflows.
- Have hands-on expertise in API testing.
- Have hands-on performance testing experience with tools such as JMeter, k6, or Gatling.
- Have hands-on mobile test automation experience with Appium or equivalent.
- Demonstrate experience setting up scalable automation frameworks and increasing automation coverage.
- Have experience building testing infrastructure and pipelines for microservices or cloud-native applications.
- Have a track record of scaling teams and processes in fast-paced product organizations.
- Be enthusiastic about using GenAI and AI agents to improve testing productivity, efficiency, and intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of SDETs focused on automation, performance, and reliability.
- Define and execute the end-to-end test automation strategy across web, mobile, and API layers.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and champion shift-left testing.
- Collaborate with development managers and leads to improve release quality, coverage, and speed.
- Establish benchmarks for automation quality, performance, and code standards.
- Build and optimize TypeScript/Playwright frameworks and maintainable automation infrastructure.
- Oversee release readiness, test planning, and quality gates for major product launches.
- Improve test productivity using GenAI and AI tools, including intelligent test generation and analysis.
- Ensure coverage across functional, non-functional, performance, and security testing.
- Provide architectural guidance on testing strategy, tooling, and infrastructure.
