Requirements
- Hold a master's degree, or a bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of related experience in resource management, paralegal work, contracting, financial accounting, or a related field.
- Alternatively, have an associate's degree with 6 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 8 years of relevant experience.
- Have intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Bring strong planning and project management capabilities, including managing multiple high-priority assignments with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and a compliance-focused approach to documentation and operational execution.
- Be able to exercise sound judgment, resolve issues within established guidelines, and recognize when escalation is required.
- Be able to work effectively in a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment and with virtual teams.
- Familiarity with legal, research, or clinical development environments in the biopharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Understanding of medical and scientific terminology is advantageous.
- Experience in finance, resource management, budget management, contracting, or related operational functions is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Access, Spotfire, Tableau, or Smartsheet is preferred.
- Experience with Planisware, Veeva, SAP, or Ariba is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Execute healthcare contracting activities throughout the lifecycle of moderately complex engagements using established processes and guidance.
- Draft, review, process, and coordinate contracts, including execution, documentation, and system updates.
- Review invoices and expenses for accuracy and alignment with contractual terms.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and support timely payment workflows.
- Triage incoming requests and manage assigned workloads to meet deadlines and service levels.
- Perform healthcare compliance checks and ensure engagement documentation is complete and accurate.
- Identify risks, exceptions, and non-standard scenarios and escalate them with sufficient context.
- Coordinate with Legal, Sourcing, Finance, Accounts Payable, Compliance, and other stakeholders.
- Resolve operational issues and contribute to workflow improvements, implementation activities, and audit initiatives.
- Provide informal guidance and support to less experienced team members when appropriate.
