Requirements
- Have 3+ years of professional experience working on web applications using modern software engineering processes.
- Be proficient in Python and Django.
- Be able to debug complex database performance issues.
- Have built performant and scalable backends and be able to discuss prior work and pragmatic tradeoffs.
- Think critically about product implementation and how well it serves users’ needs.
- Be able to explain complex technical topics clearly to the team.
- Experience working in an early-stage startup is a plus.
- Fintech or accounting experience is a plus.
- ERP or accounting systems integration experience is a plus.
- Exposure to purchase orders is a plus.
- AWS DevOps experience and product sense are pluses.
Responsibilities
- Discuss, plan, build, and test new features.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define the user experience.
- Triage and fix bugs, often working directly with users.
- Manage code reviews through Pull Requests while maintaining unit tests and quality.
- Help migrate modules into independent microservices.
- Work on product features used by tens of thousands of customers.
