Requirements
- Have 3+ years of professional experience in backend or distributed systems development.
- Have experience building and operating production-grade APIs and microservices in a regulated or high-compliance environment.
- Be proficient in Node.js or a similar modern backend framework, such as TypeScript, NestJS, Go, or Java.
- Be familiar with cloud-native architecture, including Kubernetes and AWS.
- Be familiar with event-driven or microservice-based systems.
- Have a strong understanding of data security, PCI compliance, or similar standards for protecting sensitive financial data.
- Collaborate across product, risk, and platform teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services for the co-branded credit card product and its partner integrations.
- Architect APIs and event-driven systems that securely handle sensitive financial data at scale.
- Partner with risk, compliance, and platform teams to meet regulatory and security requirements.
- Own reliability and performance for systems processing real-time credit transactions.
- Drive system design decisions balancing scalability, security, and delivery speed.
- Mentor engineers and improve code quality, testing, and operational practices.
