Requirements
- Have a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of higher education and experience totaling at least 9 years.
- Demonstrate experience designing and delivering enterprise technology solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
- Bring a background in solution architecture, application architecture, data architecture, systems design, and integration patterns.
- Have experience in software, platform, data, service, cloud, or infrastructure engineering and technology delivery.
- Have experience designing and integrating applications, APIs, platforms, and data solutions using established architecture principles and patterns.
- Bring working knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, as well as security controls, infrastructure, networking, and modernization practices.
- Understand data platforms, analytics and reporting architectures, data integration, ETL/ELT, APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native solutions.
- Be able to evaluate approaches to complex technical problems and explain architecture decisions, trade-offs, risks, and recommendations.
- Have communication and stakeholder-management skills for collaboration across technical teams, business functions, and senior leadership.
- Be familiar with technology governance, resiliency, security, compliance, and risk-management requirements.
- Preferred experience includes graduate-level technical education, recognized cloud or architecture certifications, or work across multiple technical disciplines.
- Experience with Azure-based solutions, data lakes, data warehouses, lakehouses, enterprise data integration, Agile and DevOps environments, or financial-services technology is advantageous.
- Familiarity with banking regulatory, security, governance, and compliance requirements is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical architectures for enterprise data, cloud, integration, analytics, reporting, and operational solutions.
- Partner with business leaders, domain teams, Enterprise Architecture, engineering, infrastructure, security, and data teams to develop end-to-end solutions.
- Architect data platforms, APIs, integration patterns, and data movement solutions for batch, near-real-time, and streaming workloads.
- Evaluate technical alternatives and explain trade-offs, risks, and architecture recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Incorporate security, resiliency, governance, compliance, risk management, and regulatory requirements into solutions.
- Participate in Agile delivery, architecture governance, design reviews, technical decision-making, proof-of-concept initiatives, and vendor evaluations.
- Develop architecture documentation, solution diagrams, technical specifications, implementation guidance, and operational handoff materials.
- Research emerging technologies and industry trends to identify modernization and operational improvement opportunities.
- Support enterprise and solution architects in managing dependencies across products, platforms, and technology domains.
- Maintain risk and internal-control practices, escalate issues, and support resolution of audit or regulatory findings.
