Requirements
- Bring approximately 3–5+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, partnerships, or a related commercial function.
- Have experience owning or meaningfully contributing to a full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through negotiation, closing, and activation.
- Demonstrate strong outbound prospecting and pipeline-generation capabilities.
- Communicate credibly with senior financial professionals, business owners, executives, and sophisticated B2B buyers.
- Bring executive presence, commercial judgment, consultative selling skills, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Be confident leading discovery and sales conversations, handling objections, negotiating commercial terms, and closing agreements.
- Demonstrate organizational skills and disciplined pipeline management across multiple opportunities and priorities.
- Be self-directed, entrepreneurial, and comfortable in an early-stage environment where processes and structures are developing.
- Have a strong interest in building a business development function and contributing to commercial strategy and growth.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and adapt messaging to different audiences.
- Experience with RIAs, financial advisors, wealth management, financial services, fintech, financial services partnerships, B2B SaaS, or consultative B2B sales is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and source prospective RIA firms, wealth management organizations, and other financial services partners across the United States.
- Build and expand a prioritized target account list using prospecting platforms, industry research, referrals, and other sourcing channels.
- Assess prospective partners for strategic fit, business model, capacity, growth potential, and program suitability.
- Own the sales cycle from outbound prospecting and qualification through discovery, presentations, negotiation, contracting, and partner activation.
- Lead consultative sales conversations, communicate the value proposition, address objections, and guide prospects toward agreements.
- Negotiate commercial terms with internal leadership and coordinate partner handoffs following activation.
- Develop and refine the business development playbook, sales messaging, processes, tools, reporting, and operating rhythms.
- Build relationships across the financial advisor community and share market insights with leadership.
- Coordinate with marketing, paid search, operations, and other teams to support partner capacity, onboarding, and activation.
- Report on pipeline development, qualified meetings, agreements, partner feedback, activation, and sales performance.
