Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Advanced degree such as an MBA, PharmD, PhD, MSN, or MS preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in Thought Leader Liaison, Product Marketing, Specialty Sales, Medical Affairs leadership, or Commercial field leadership.
- Demonstrated experience in rare disease, specialty pharmaceuticals, and/or neurology.
- Ability to think strategically and develop executive-level relationship frameworks.
- Strong understanding of commercial compliance and promotional regulations.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong project management, organization, prioritization, and execution capabilities.
- Ability to synthesize field insights into clear strategic recommendations.
- Ability to collaborate across Commercial, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and other cross-functional teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 60–70%.
- Must reside in the Western U.S. region covered by the role: Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, or South Dakota.
- Able to work remotely while attending the Boston office approximately 1–2 times per quarter.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute engagement strategies for national, regional, and emerging thought leaders in rare neurological diseases.
- Build long-term relationships with physicians, care teams, advocacy leaders, and investigators.
- Identify influential experts, centers of excellence, and emerging voices.
- Capture and synthesize field insights to inform brand strategy, messaging, evidence generation, and launch planning.
- Identify trends in diagnosis, treatment patterns, referral pathways, and unmet needs.
- Lead commercial advisory board planning and execution, including advisor recruitment and insight communication.
- Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop the physician speaker bureau, and evaluate speaker effectiveness.
- Develop engagement strategies for neurology congresses and coordinate thought-leader meetings.
- Support launch readiness through disease education, market assessment, peer-to-peer strategies, customer segmentation, and influence mapping.
