Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree.
  • Have at least 7 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrate experience developing and deploying direct-response fundraising strategies.
  • Understand direct-response fundraising principles, practices, processes, and evolving industry trends.
  • Have experience planning, managing, and delivering against budgets.
  • Demonstrate experience managing and supervising multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop, manage, and implement multiple projects and strategic initiatives simultaneously.
  • Work effectively within complex organizations and across multiple organizational levels.
  • Build relationships and influence stakeholders across departments.
  • Use data and analytics to inform decisions and develop actionable fundraising strategies.
  • Apply strategic thinking and proactively identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Communicate effectively and manage stakeholders, including senior leaders.
  • Be willing to test, learn, iterate, and adopt new fundraising approaches and technologies.
  • Balance multiple priorities while maintaining strategic focus and motivate teams around shared objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage audience-first strategies for individual donor solicitation and engagement across marketing channels.
  • Lead the development, evaluation, testing, and optimization of fundraising strategies for defined membership audiences.
  • Identify fundraising opportunities, industry trends, and approaches that support membership revenue growth.
  • Evaluate and launch fundraising initiatives using data, experimentation, performance analysis, and risk/reward assessments.
  • Monitor audience-level reporting and analytics, translating insights into recommendations and actions.
  • Align audience strategies with organizational priorities through collaboration with department leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Develop strategic documentation, frameworks, and plans to provide clarity across teams.
  • Manage and supervise a multidisciplinary team, aligning staff efforts with priorities and supporting collaboration and development.
  • Plan and manage budgets associated with fundraising strategies and initiatives.
  • Oversee multiple projects and strategic priorities, partnering with senior strategy and deployment leaders on growth and innovation.
