Requirements
- Have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Bring at least 6 years of communications experience across multiple mediums, audience segments, and content formats.
- Have at least 6 years of program management and leadership experience, including recommending strategic direction and influencing communications decisions.
- Demonstrate strong enterprise communications experience and connect communications and content strategies to business objectives.
- Have experience advising senior executives, building credibility quickly, and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- Demonstrate consulting, relationship-building, and stakeholder-management skills, including navigating competing priorities and constructively challenging ideas.
- Bring strong writing, editing, presentation, organization, planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Manage multiple complex projects, prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and adapt to frequent change.
- Have advanced presentation skills and proficiency with word-processing and desktop-publishing applications.
- Develop creative communications concepts, research opportunities, and present recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively with people at all organizational levels, internally and externally.
- Work independently with autonomy and ambiguity, exercising sound judgment and discretion.
- Experience in eyewear, software, technology, materials sales, or supply-chain sectors is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Lead and evaluate internal and external communications strategies and programs across audiences, channels, products, services, and market segments.
- Develop communications strategies for high-risk and high-opportunity initiatives in partnership with business functions.
- Research market communication trends, assess program performance, and use insights to improve communications effectiveness.
- Own major communications programs from strategy and positioning through development, execution, measurement, and optimization.
- Partner with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and strategic partners to ensure effective and consistent communications.
- Work with senior management to identify market opportunities and prioritize programs supporting growth, brand, and enterprise objectives.
- Guide business partners on brand-building communications and serve as a resource for brand-related information.
- Advise and mentor communications professionals and promote best practices.
- Oversee teams and projects, keeping strategic alignment, priorities, resources, and timelines on track.
- Manage communications budgets, agency resources, and project resources; develop workflows that improve efficiency and communication quality.
