Requirements
- Have general knowledge of employee benefits coverages and services.
- Have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Windows, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
- Be able to multitask and prioritize competing tasks and demands.
- Work effectively both independently and in a team, with or without direct supervision.
- Have interpersonal communication skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Hold a high school diploma; some college is preferred.
- Have two or more years of experience with a benefits consulting or brokerage firm, or comparable experience with an insurance carrier or TPA (preferred).
- Have or be willing to obtain a Washington Life, Disability (health), Travel license within 60 days of hire.
- Have a valid driver license.
Responsibilities
- Prepare agendas, reports, and presentations for client meetings.
- Process BORs, update internal systems and client portals, and prepare invoices.
- Contribute to 5500 filings, audits, benchmarking, experience and financial analytics, and other client reports.
- Provide open enrollment support through communication materials, onsite and virtual meetings, and health fairs.
- Assist with client and employee issues involving billing discrepancies, claims, and related matters.
- Coordinate with Client Executives and/or Client Managers to set priorities and manage workflow.
- Maintain workflow logs and update benefits information in agency management systems, manuals, and other records.
- Stay informed about industry information, product and program developments, coverages, legislation, and technology.
