Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Have five or more years of experience as an SDET or in test-focused software engineering roles.
- Have strong programming skills in at least one of Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Have hands-on experience with at least one major UI automation framework: Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Have solid experience automating REST and/or gRPC APIs.
- Have working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for test automation.
- Have solid SQL skills and experience with database validation.
- Understand microservices, distributed systems, and modern web architectures.
- Have experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Preferred: experience with Pact or Spring Cloud Contract.
- Preferred: hands-on performance testing with JMeter, Gatling, k6, or Locust.
- Preferred: exposure to OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, or Snyk; familiarity with chaos engineering and resilience testing; or ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and continuously improve automation frameworks.
- Write production-quality test code.
- Partner with development teams to embed quality engineering throughout the SDLC.
- Apply unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and security testing strategies.
- Work with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and design reviews.
- Mentor more junior engineers.
