Requirements
- Have strong hands-on experience with several of the following or equivalent: .NET, Java, C#, Linux container development, Kubernetes, MVC, SaaS, SOA, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, modern JavaScript frameworks, Entity Framework, and microservices.
- Have experience building and delivering SaaS software with modern system architecture, including microservice-based architecture and cloud-native applications.
- Have experience with a cloud service provider such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Understand operational excellence in the development lifecycle, including DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.
- Have experience with observability tools such as Grafana, New Relic, or Haystack.
- Have experience with real-time event-driven processing and batch processing of high-volume transactions.
- Have experience building complex role-based access and entitlement systems.
- Have experience leading, recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and managing software engineering teams.
- Have experience managing multiple concurrent work streams and working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Have experience with Lean-Agile methodologies such as Kanban or Scrum.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and provide guidance and feedback to software engineers.
- Write and review code, debug complex issues, design and evolve APIs, and deliver scalable platform services.
- Build architecture designs and ensure the quality of system architecture and design.
- Partner with Product, Security, Architecture, and Operations to align engineering execution with business outcomes.
- Identify bottlenecks, reduce technical debt, and improve scalability, resilience, and cost-efficiency.
- Define and track engineering KPIs, manage resource allocation and priorities, and support timely delivery.
- Oversee on-call incidents, troubleshoot disruptions, and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
- Drive adoption of development practices, tools, and frameworks to improve productivity and product quality.
- Collaborate with Product Management on brainstorming and technical-debt requirements.
