Requirements
- Have 6+ years designing and integrating marketing and customer data technology.
- Have at least 3 years of experience in an agency, consultancy, or professional services setting with multiple clients.
- Be fully fluent in English.
- Have working knowledge of Segment, Hightouch, or RudderStack.
- Be proficient in JavaScript and SQL and comfortable working in a shared repository.
- Have designed at least three full stacks, rather than only operating tools selected by others.
- Handle GDPR and consent as part of implementation.
- Have depth in at least three systems groups and working familiarity with the others: customer data platforms, analytics, lifecycle and marketing automation, warehouse and transformation, tag management, CRM, and consent management.
- Preferred: professional working proficiency in German, French, Spanish, or Italian in addition to English.
- Preferred: experience with server-side tracking under EU consent rules.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end customer data stacks spanning CDPs, analytics, marketing automation, CRM, warehouses, pipelines, tag management, and testing.
- Define event, property, and naming taxonomies before implementation.
- Solve identity resolution across web, app, offline, and CRM data.
- Document data flows and explain what breaks if a system stops.
- Build in CDPs, warehouses, Google Tag Manager, and code; write and review tracking, server-side integrations, and reverse ETL pipelines.
- Run QA by checking properties in both the CDP and destination and recording a walkthrough.
- Turn client requirements into scoped, sequenced tasks and review work from engineers and contract developers.
- Run two-week sprints, maintain backlogs and roadmaps, and flag budget pacing early.
- Estimate, document, and confirm scope changes in writing before work starts.
- Write technical specifications and level-of-effort estimates for new opportunities and join pre-sales calls when technical input is needed.
