Requirements

  • Have 5+ years of sales experience.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Have a proven record of exceeding sales targets and developing long-term relationships.
  • Have work experience in sales within the plumbing-related industry.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and other sales tools.
  • Be able to present effectively and manage the negotiation process.
  • Be able to work independently, prioritize activities, and understand opportunity costs.
  • Be available to travel within the territory as needed.
  • Experience with plumbing contractors, construction trade, homebuilders, manufacturers' representatives, and wholesale distribution is preferred.
  • Have experience in a high-performance, customer-facing sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory sales plans with the National and Regional Management Team.
  • Coordinate with managers and representative agency sales teams to execute tactical plans, focusing on residential new construction and repair and remodel contractors.
  • Develop, implement, measure, and report product specification, installation, repair, and sales training programs.
  • Lead representative agency members toward sales targets through tactical plan implementation.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand sales and market share, using tools such as Dodge or other information service platforms.
  • Cultivate relationships with existing customers, distribution branch teams, and contractors.
  • Measure training results and customer adoption, specification, product knowledge, and market share.
  • Monitor and share performance metrics and use them to improve plans.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product Development on brand consistency and customer requirements.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual sales reviews and forecasts.
