Requirements
- Have 2+ years of sales experience in a B2B environment; building materials sales is preferred.
- Have a bachelor's degree in a related discipline; this is strongly desired.
- Demonstrate the ability to build strong client relationships and maintain a robust national-account client database.
- Be proficient in face-to-face sales and calling on national accounts.
- Be able to work independently as a self-starter and self-motivator.
- Be able to create product and technical presentations and demonstrate excellent presentation skills.
- Have a general understanding of the construction process.
- Be able to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints; Bluebeam experience is a plus.
- Have experience using a CRM tool; Salesforce.com is preferred.
- Have experience with Construct Connect and other construction data software; this is desired.
- Know Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Be able to travel up to 50%.
Responsibilities
- Implement agreed-upon sales strategies and evaluate the effectiveness of sales programs.
- Build relationships with national brand accounts, architects, general contractors, installers, and other construction-industry influencers.
- Influence the specification process and build a prominent specification position for Nichiha products.
- Manage existing accounts and identify prospective national brand accounts, designers, architects, and general contractors.
- Identify specified or submitted projects, assess product competition and price points, and track project pipelines through orders in Salesforce.com.
- Present AIA/CES courses to architects and product-knowledge training to general contractors and installers.
- Coordinate market intelligence on products, programs, shipping, market segments, and competitive activity.
- Collaborate with Nichiha personnel on technical assistance, training, project start-up, contractor support, and problem resolution.
- Participate in design organizations and promotional and trade-show activities, and assist with product development.
