Requirements

  • Have 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform, or Site Reliability Engineering, including 2+ years operating workloads in AWS GovCloud.
  • Have hands-on experience deploying and maintaining infrastructure under FedRAMP High or Moderate, GovRAMP/StateRAMP, or DoD IL5 authorization frameworks.
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance; active or eligible for a federal security clearance.
  • Understand NIST 800-53 controls and their application to infrastructure and pipeline design.
  • Have strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and GitOps such as ArgoCD.
  • Have experience with AWS or other cloud services and CI/CD pipeline engineering.
  • Have experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
  • Have experience with configuration-management or automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or Rundeck.
  • Have experience with queuing systems and relational database deployment or migration tooling.
  • Have experience supporting continuous monitoring, POA&M remediation, assessments, and audit cycles.
  • Have basic networking knowledge, including subnets and environment segmentation, and experience supporting cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
  • Have exposure to Linux, Docker, Git, AWS CLI, S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, SSH, and monitoring or testing tools.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate development projects into production AWS and AWS GovCloud environments and provide ongoing support.
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support Helm packaging and ArgoCD/GitOps deployments to Kubernetes.
  • Operate and harden infrastructure within FedRAMP High, GovRAMP Moderate, and IL5 authorization boundaries.
  • Own environment segmentation, secrets management, and access controls aligned with NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP controls.
  • Manage Kubernetes workloads, Helm chart versioning, and release promotion across development, staging, commercial, and GovCloud production environments.
  • Build reliable infrastructure services in AWS and support cloud and on-premise deployments using infrastructure as code.
  • Support database deployment and schema migration tied to release cycles.
  • Build monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational automation; participate in incident response and root-cause analysis.
  • Partner with Security/GRC on continuous-monitoring evidence, POA&Ms, assessments, and audit cycles.
