Requirements
- Have 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in EdTech or youth-focused industries.
- Demonstrate a track record leading 0–1 product development and launching new products that achieved scale and revenue targets.
- Have experience using AI tools for product development, user research, or personalization.
- Bring hands-on experience with agile/Scrum or Kanban practices and tools such as Jira and Confluence for backlog management, sprint planning, and delivery tracking.
- Have experience managing or influencing cross-functional teams.
- Have a deep understanding of K–12 education markets, especially district and school purchasing dynamics.
- Be available for travel typically quarterly, and potentially as frequently as every two months, for research, testing, and other activities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the VP, Product and leadership team to develop portfolio-expanding products aligned with the organization’s diversification strategy and mission.
- Translate student, educator, and district needs into a scalable product vision, goals, and success metrics.
- Own the product roadmap and backlog prioritization, and make stage-gate go/no-go decisions.
- Represent the product and team at quarterly Impact Committee meetings and monthly Bridge Role meetings, presenting business cases, evidence, roadmap updates, and progress.
- Conduct market research and work with educators, administrators, and technology partners to identify and validate product opportunities.
- Lead prototype design, testing strategies, user feedback collection, and iterative product development from concept to launch.
- Write epics, stories, and acceptance criteria in tools such as Jira and Confluence; facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Track delivery health, ship in small increments, and adjust scope using user feedback and data.
- Coordinate researchers, instructional designers, UX, engineering, and go-to-market teams, managing timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Manage the product innovation budget and monitor product performance, iterating based on user feedback, learning outcomes, and business impact.
