Requirements
- Bring 7+ years of experience, including meaningful time owning backend services in production.
- Have experience building and operating data pipelines at scale.
- Have experience with third-party integrations and async processing systems at scale.
- Demonstrate a track record of improving system reliability through observability, alerting, and incident reduction.
- Have experience making operational health a team habit.
- Have owned systems end-to-end at a product-focused startup or scale-up.
- Collaborate effectively across product, design, and business.
Responsibilities
- Own the backend services and data pipelines powering Grader scans end-to-end.
- Ingest third-party presence signals, including Google, Yelp, menus, and LLM GEO signals.
- Serve Grader results reliably at scale.
- Reduce latency and increase uptime to harden the platform before expansion.
- Build the observability and alerting layer needed to scale Grader into new scoring dimensions.
- Establish shared abstractions, operational runbooks, and architectural patterns.
- Partner with PLG product and the AI Agents team as Grader evolves into a broader AI-powered tool for restaurant owners.
