Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in manufacturing switchgear, switchboards, or related electrical power distribution equipment.
  • Experience leading and building high-impact teams that have established and executed strategic customer programs.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex cross-functional programs involving R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Safety, and Supply Chain.
  • Experience with customer-facing engagement, including presenting to and negotiating with external stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, engineered-to-order product development, and production scheduling in an industrial equipment environment.
  • Leadership, coaching, and people-management skills, including experience developing program-management talent.
  • Ability to communicate with senior leadership, customers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Travel required (estimate: 25%) for customer visits, site meetings, and cross-site program reviews.
  • Preferred: experience with e-house, skid-mounted equipment, or modular power packages.
  • Preferred: PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program/project management certification.
  • Preferred: experience implementing or scaling a formal PMO in a manufacturing organization.
  • Preferred: familiarity with UL, IEEE, NEMA, or NEC standards and codes applicable to switchgear and switchboard manufacturing.
  • Preferred: experience with ERP/PLM systems and program-management software such as MS Project or Smartsheet.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Program Managers, and define team structure and career development paths.
  • Establish and standardize program-management methodologies, tools, and governance.
  • Own strategic initiatives and customer programs, aligning scope, schedule, cost, and quality commitments.
  • Maintain a portfolio-level view of active programs and identify risks, resource constraints, and interdependencies.
  • Drive stage-gate reviews, milestone tracking, risk management, executive reporting, and change management.
  • Coordinate R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Safety, and Supply Chain from design through production and delivery.
  • Partner with Engineering/R&D on new product introduction and engineered-to-order programs for switchgear, switchboards, e-houses, and skidded packages.
  • Represent program management in customer reviews, kickoff meetings, and escalations; support proposal efforts, program scoping, and contract execution.
  • Lead process-improvement initiatives and report program health, risks, and strategic outcomes to executive leadership.
