Requirements

  • 5+ years of successful sales, business development, or account management experience.
  • Experience preferably in Critical Power, UPS, electrical infrastructure, telecom, HVAC, generator services, or related technical industries.
  • Proven ability to generate new business, grow revenue, and close complex sales opportunities.
  • Experience developing and presenting customer proposals, RFP responses, quotations, and sales presentations.
  • Ability to communicate value propositions clearly in writing, verbally, and through presentations.
  • Experience working across functions and divisions with executives, operations teams, finance, and technical subject matter experts.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage customer discussions through contract closure.
  • Ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into service solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, organization, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfort operating independently in a remote environment and collaborating across multiple time zones.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, proposal development tools, and sales reporting platforms preferred.
  • Must live close to San Francisco and Northern Virginia.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new revenue opportunities within the Critical Power/UPS market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective customers, industry partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Lead sales from initial outreach through proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on pricing strategies, service solutions, and customer-specific proposals.
  • Oversee preparation and delivery of RFP responses, quotations, presentations, bids, and marketing materials.
  • Interpret customer requirements and align company services and capabilities with operational and technical needs.
  • Analyze and communicate contractual, technical, and commercial requirements internally to support bid strategies.
  • Present to customers and executive-level audiences, and support strategic sales plans to expand market presence.
  • Participate in industry conferences, networking, and customer-facing events.
  • Coordinate with operations, finance, leadership, and subject matter experts on solution development and customer satisfaction.
