Requirements
- Have 5+ years of relevant software development industry experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Have software development experience in Go, C/C++, Java, or another OOP language.
- Have experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Have experience developing cloud infrastructure services; Kubernetes experience is preferred.
- Have experience developing cloud-native edge or service mesh services; Envoy and Istio experience is preferred.
- Have experience leading and shipping large-scope technical projects with multiple experienced engineers.
- Understand network topologies, protocols, and security principles, including VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Know cloud security best practices, including encryption, access controls, and standards such as SOC2 and GDPR.
- Have production debugging skills and problem-solving ability.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build robust, scalable, highly available distributed infrastructure.
- Build a cloud-native platform on public cloud and automate cloud resource management.
- Work with the ClickHouse core database development and security teams to produce the SaaS offering.
- Develop routing and traffic components to improve cloud service reliability and scalability.
- Improve availability using distributed systems best practices.
- Design and build security components and tooling, including firewalls, PKI and certificate infrastructure, and zero-trust networking.
- Improve infrastructure performance and cost efficiency.
